HJH students beat food drive goal by more than 1,000 cans

Students at Henrietta Junior High participating in the student council’s second annual canned food drive collected more than 1,700 items. The food will be donated to the Clay County Mission Outreach.

The Henrietta Junior High Student Council surpassed its goal of collecting 750 cans during the organization’s second annual food drive by more than 1,000 items.

HJH parents, faculty and students collected 1,737 cans of food to be donated to the Clay County Mission Outreach.  The 2014-15 HJH Student Council would like to thank everyone involved for their support, assistance and donations.

Seventh grade won the campus collection challenge by collecting 919 cans, eighth grade students collected 777 cans and the sixth grade collected 41 cans.
