Karen Ballard of Randlett, Okla.


Karen Ballard, 61, of Randlett, Okla., passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Rev. Howard Walker, pastor of the First Christian Church of Henrietta, officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ballard was born July 30, 1953 in Henrietta to Henry Cecil and Juanita (Lassiter) York. She married James H. Ballard on June 6, 1970 in Baton Rouge, La. She worked as a assistant manager in housekeeping in Comanche and was a member of the Open Door Church of God in Walters, Okla.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, James H. Ballard of Randlett, Okla.; one daughter, Lori Ballard Moore and husband Holdun of Wichita Falls; two sons, Curtis Henry Ballard and wife Christina of Waurika, Okla., and Harry Alexander Ballard of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Cecil C. York and wife Robbie of Henrietta, and Jay E. York and wife Sue of Dallas; two sisters, Wanda York of Terral, Okla., and Linda Turner and husband Tony of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 7.
