June Moreau of Bellevue


Harriet June Moreau, 76, of Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30,2014 in Nocona.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at the Bellevue Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Alvord Cemetery under the direction of White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.

Mrs. Moreau was born June 13, 1938 in Decatur to Arthur J. and Hazel B. Whitaker. She worked hard all her life and enjoyed socializing and going to senior dances. She encouraged others to enjoy life too. She was always known as the beautiful lady even while she was so very ill. June was active in the Bellevue Church of Christ, Senior Citizens dances, and all events of her community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur J. and Hazel B. Whitaker; two husbands, Willard Moreau, and Johnny K. Griffith; and a brother, James Whitaker.

Survivors include one son, Johnny Griffith and wife Melody of Alvord; two daughters, Marianne Langford and husband Bob of Nocona, and Georgia Headley of Bridgeport; a step-son, Gary Moreau and wife Charolette of Rockwall; two step-daughters, Carla Cotton and husband Craig of Vashti, and Lisa Moreau of West Hollywood, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Jean Ann Taylor of Longview, and Faye Whitaker of Decatur; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2 at the White Family Funeral Home.
