J.R. Romines of Henrietta


J.R. Romines, 69, of Henrietta, passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5 at Grace Temple Baptist Church in Henrietta, Texas with Rev. Doug Gaskey, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.

Mr. Romines was born on June 24, 1945 in Seymour to Noel Alvin and Braden (Moore) Romines, Sr. He served in the US Navy. Mr. Romines was a truck driver and was also a newspaper deliverer for the Times Record News. He was a foster grandpa to more than 20 kids and he took care of more than 100 plots at the Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Romines was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Deidra Romines.

Survivors include one son, Alan Romines and wife Raquel of Krum; three daughters, Jennifer Martinez and husband Luciano of Saginaw, Kristy Munoz and husband Manuel of Wichita Falls, and Tina Allen of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Russell Romines and wife Debby of Lewisville, and Doyle Romines and wife Lisa of Waxahachie; two sisters, Darlene Swim of Wichita Falls, and Mona Ryan of Wichita Falls; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
