Dennis Wayne Evans of Jacksboro


Dennis Wayne Evans, 63, of Jacksboro, passed away on Nov. 2, 2014 in a Fort Worth after a lengthy battle with lung disease.

Dennis was born Feb. 10, 1951 in Haskell to Walter C. Evans of Petrolia and Kathrine Knox Evans of Wichita Falls. Dennis attended Wichita Falls High School. He founded and operate U.S. Legends Guitars, an organization that held charity auctions benefitting people all over the world by providing celebrity signed musical instruments and photos. He was friends with Willie Nelson, Ray Price, Charlie Daniels and many other great artists, all of whom provided generously for the benefit of the many charities supported by U.S. Legends. Dennis was a very unique individual. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Jimmy Dale Evans of Waurika, Okla.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy and Sara; two brothers, Lanny Evans and wife Lannie of Henrietta, and Walter “Bubba” Evans and wife Karen of Petrolia; two sisters, Patricia Evans Scott and husband Gary of Wichita Falls, and Chrissy Evans of Vernon; his step-mother, Bobbie Evans of Vernon; and friend Dave Clement of Houston.
