9-3A champ Lady Cats sweep City View, prepare for bi-district

Lady Cats Hollie Thomas and Maddie Brown battle Nocona at the net during Saturday’s District 9-3A championship game. Henrietta faces Whitesboro in bi-district Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Henrietta’s varsity Lady Cats sealed their district volleyball record at 13-1 with Tuesday’s three-set win over City View, and will now concentrate on preparing for post season play.

The district champion Lady Cats will face Whitesboro for the bi-district title at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4 in Saint Jo.

Henrietta defeated City View 25-20, 25-7, 25-7.

Taylor Bennett scored seven kills and two aces, and finished with six digs. Sierra Burkhart scored five kills and had one dig. Hollie Thomas scored nine aces nad had two kills. Maddie Brown finished with four kills and two digs. Kamryn Weaver scored three kills and had two digs. Kenzie Kirk and Callie Page scored two kills each. Kirk had 20 set assists and two digs. Page also scored one ace and had a dig. Lizzie Riordan finished with 10 digs.
