Two plea agreements accepted by court


The 97th District Court accepted two pleas of guilt during proceedings Monday, Oct. 20.

Thomas Dallas Lang III — Possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, more than 1 gram, less than 4 grams, a third-degree felony, for a Dec. 22 offense. Lang was sentenced to five years community supervision, fined $2,500 and must pay $1,500 restitution.

Prisilla Kearney — Possession or transport of chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, penalty group 1, a second-degree felony, for an Aug. 17, 2008 offense. Kearny was given deferred adjudication for the offense on Jan. 19, 2010, but failed to meet probation requirements. She has been sentenced to an additional 10 years community supervision and ordered to pay accrued probation costs of $1,430.
