Henrietta’s junior high girls cross country team earned its second team championship in as many meets on Saturday, Sept. 14 with a 32-point team total at the Jacksboro invitational.
Emily Longoria finished first in the individual standings for the second time this year, completing the two-mile course at Fort Richardson State Park in 14 minutes, 21 seconds.
Abby Zamzow finished the course in 14:34 for third place, followed by Addison Hoff in fifth with 14:47; Kirsten Ervin, 11th, 16:00; Kylee Halter, 12th, 16:39; Natalie Streeter, 16th, 17:08; and Brooklyn McMurry in 20th place with a time of 17:36.
Also competing for the Lady Cats are Isabela Garcia, who finished in 20:14; Bailey Ervin with a time of 20:32; Kylee Ericksen with 20:40; Kaci Williams with 20:40; Daniella Garcia with 20:56; and Viviana Garcia with 21:48.
Daniel Wimberley led the junior high Bearcats, completing the two-mile course in 13:14 for third place in the individual standings. Holt Chambers placed 15th with a time of 14:46 and Joshua Patin took 36th with 16:44.
Hunter Smith placed 25th in the varsity boys 5K with a time of 22:58.
In the varsity girls two-mile race, Madeline Koetter finished 22nd with 17:42, TeeLee Cook was 25 with 18:21, Kelton Matthews finished 26th with 19:09 and Michaela Hedrick placed 30th with a time of 19:41.
