Jean Marie Barnes of Iowa Park


Jean Marie Barnes, 76, of Iowa Park, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2014.

Funeral Services will be Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Henrietta Church of God with Rev. Robert Fletcher, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barnes was born June 7, 1938 in Wichita Falls to Roy Landry and Minnie Auggie Moeller. She grew up and attended school in Temple, Okla. She was the drum majorette for the Temple High School Band. On April 28, 1962 Jean married Donald Edward Barnes in Amarillo. While Don served in the Air Force, the couple moved often and ultimately made Iowa Park their home town.

Survivors include her husband, Don Barnes;  three children, Chris Edward Barnes and wife Amy of Chico, Calif., Ginger Kaye Barnes of Iowa Park, and Melissa June Boutwell and husband Ray of Iowa Park; 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Kimberly Joy, in 2004.

No visitation will be held.
