Ada May Rogers of Henrietta


Ada May Rogers, 74, of Henrietta, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 12 in Hope Cemetery with Dr. Keva Green, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Henrietta, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rogers was born Feb. 6, 1940 in Grand Island, Neb., to Raymond H. and Elva D. (Ruhe) Evans. She married Zirl E. Rogers on Aug. 6, 1960 in Brighton, Colo., and was retired from the Civil Service as a postal clerk in Wichita Falls, were she worked for 15 years.

Mrs. Rogers is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Zirl Rogers of Henrietta; two sons, Scott E. Rogers of Henrietta, and Shane E. Rogers and wife Karen of Gaithersburg, Md.; four brothers, Raymond Evans and wife Kathy, Robert Evans and wife Rhonda, James Seeber and wife Marge, and G. Timothy Seeber and wife Roxie; three sisters, June Crow and husband John, Margaret Keen and husband Jan, and Leona Seeber; one grandson and three granddaughters.

Memorials can be made to the Clay County Animal Shelter, 509 N. Carroll St., Henrietta, Texas 76365.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 7-8 p.m.
