J.R. ‘Jim’ Titus of Henrietta


J.R. “Jim” Titus, 71, of Henrietta, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 in Wichita Falls.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta with Rev. Randy Osborn, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Titus was born May 19, 1943 in Califon, N.J., to Kenneth and Gladys (Taylor) Titus. He married Linda Netherton on Sep. 3, 1971 in Bloomington, Calif. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a deputy sheriff, jailer, constable and worked in the printing business.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Titus of Henrietta; a daughter, Brenda Marone of California; a son, Ricky Titus of California; a daughter Shelly of California; a son, Jason Titus of Burkburnett; a daughter, Cathy Jones of Henrietta; a Brother, David Titus; a sister, Connie Hall; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
