Kenneth Brock, 87, of Bellevue, passed away Aug. 29, 2014 in Wichita Falls.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 at the First United Methodist Church in Bellevue. Arrangements are under the direction of White Family Funeral home of Bowie.
Mr. Brock was born July 9, 1927 in Buffalo Springs to Robert and Effie Lou (Todd) Brock. He graduated from Midway High School in 1947 and moved to Kermit to work for Sid Richardson Oil Company. He played fast-pitch softball as a pitcher for the Sid Richardson Oil Company and basketball for Gulf Oil Company in 1951 and 1952. He moved back to Buffalo Springs and married Dona Webb in 1952. She preceded him in death in 1965. He married Margaret Rhoades on Sept. 27, 1968 in Bellevue. Kenneth was a pumper and worked for Bridwell Oil Company until his retired. He was an accomplished piano player and enjoyed playing while his girls would sing at numerous jamborees and events. He was an athlete and actively played volleyball until he was 63 years old.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dona Webb Brock; a daughter, Donna Coker; a grandson, Kyle Coker; and two brothers, Louie Brock and Bobby Brock.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Brock of Bellevue; two daughters, Debbie Ursini of Fort Worth, and Dana Brock of Bellevue; a sister, Dixie Alcorn and husband Paul of Henrietta; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
