Nadine Medders Black of Petrolia


Nadine Medders Black, 92, of Petrolia, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the First Baptist Church of Petrolia with Rev. Aaron Lindsey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Petrolia Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Black was born May 7, 1922 in Grove Springs, Mo., to Samuel and Barbara (Rader) Dinwiddie. She married Elmore Rodney Medders on May 9, 1942 and he passed in April 1966. She married Raymond Black on July 15, 1982 and he passed on June 27, 2005. Mrs. Black was a member of the First Baptist Church of Petrolia and was a homemaker.

She is was preceded in death by husband Elmore Rodney Medders and husband Raymond Black, three brothers, two sisters, and a daughter, Doris June Medders.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald Joe Medders of Wichita Falls, Elmore Rodney Medders, Jr., of Wichita Falls, and Jimmie Medders and wife Elizabeth of Petrolia; two daughters, Brenda Dunn and husband J.C. of Byers, and Rita Baxter and husband Glenn of Wichita Falls; a daughter-in-law, Debbie of Mount Vernon; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the Petrolia Senior Citizen Center, P.O. Box 234, Petrolia, Texas 76377.
