Herbert Lee Holder of Henrietta


Herbert Lee Holder, 82, of Henrietta, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Mr. Joe Williams of Henrietta officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Holder was born Dec. 6, 1931 in Parker County to H.D. and Dora (Cowley) Holder. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and married Mildred Garlington on April 21, 1951 in Young County. Mr. Holder retired from the oil field where he worked as a supervisor. He was a member of the Heritage Assembly of God Church in Wichita Falls.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred of Henrietta; two sons, Terry Holder of Henrietta, and Randy Holder and wife Sally of Kilgore; one brother; two sisters; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
