Dorothy Mae Scudder of Dallas


Dorothy Mae Scudder, 92, of Dallas, formerly of Henrietta, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.

Graveside memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 14 at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta with Dr. Keva Green, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Henrietta, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Scudder was born Feb. 26, 1922 in Clay County to Eden and Jewel (Boyles) Coleman. She married Louis R. Scudder on Aug. 4, 1939 in Buffalo Springs. Mrs. Scudder worked as a Bookkeeper for the City of Duncanville and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Henrietta.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Scudder; three brothers, Carl, Marcus and Eden.

Survivors include a son, Danny Scudder and wife Jean of Dallas; a daughter, Julie Beddingfield and husband Ron of Frankston; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
