Edward Derzapf, 81, of Henrietta, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 12 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Henrietta with Father Richard Collins officiating. A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, July 11 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Henrietta under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

Mr. Derzapf was born Dec. 2, 1932 in Henrietta to Tony and May (Graner) Derzapf. He served in the U.S. Army and married Shirley Blagg on June 27, 1964 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Henrietta. He and Shirley were married for 50 years. Mr. Derzapf was a retired Inspector for TxDOT. He was a member of the Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Henrietta and a member of the Knights of Columbus for 50 years and was a 4th Degree.

Mr. Derzapf is preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Derzapf.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Derzapf of Henrietta; three sons, Joseph Derzapf and wife Tammy of Houston, Ricky Derzapf of Burkburnett, and Randy Derzapf and wife Jami of Bells; one daughter, Debbie Sefcik and husband Ray of Weatherford; one sister, Marie Benson of Flower Mound; one brother, Larry Derzapf and wife Rose of Henrietta; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
