Two Archer City residents were transported to an area hospital after their vehicle rolled over on FM 174, east of Four Corners, Monday morning.

An Archer City husband and wife were taken to a Wichita Falls hospital Monday morning following a one-vehicle rollover accident on FM 174.

The accident occurred at 9:28 a.m. approximately 1.2 miles east of Four Corners. The driver, Victoria Meredith, and passenger, Don Meredith, both 56, were traveling east in a 2008 Ford F250 when the vehicle strayed from a curve in the road. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle skidded into the ditch on the eastbound side, through a fence and overturned after hitting a gully.

Volunteer firefighters from the Joy and Vashti departments were able to remove the driver and passenger from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life.

DPS Trooper Will Richter said Victoria Meredith was transported by helicopter. She is believed to have suffered only minor injuries. Don Meredith was taken to the hospital by ambulance after suffering a broken shoulder and possibly broken ribs.
