Riordan, Hunter earn high point shooter awards at district trap meet

Clay County 4-H members Lizzie Riordan and Gage Hunter dominated the competition during the Rolling Plains District Trap Shooting Contest in Iowa Park on Saturday, May 17.

Riordan earned the title of Overall Lady High Point Shooter, while Hunter earned Overall  Junior Class High Point Shooter.

Riordan led her three-man team to first place in the intermediate class with teammates Daniel Wimberley and Robby Story. Clay Streeter, Caroline McDonnell and Trace Arnhold finished 11th in the intermediate class.

Hunter’s three-man team, with Bryce Sikes and Trent Tice, took second place in the junior class.

In the senior class, the three-man team of Leo Hunter, Garrett Tice and Ethan Gregory took second place, followed by the two-man team of Tyler McMurry and Matthew Watson in fifth. Mason Barry, Michaela Hedrick and Adam Moore finished 11th.
