High school seniors across Clay County will walk the stage next weekend as they enter the next chapter of life. Celebration of their accomplishments begins with Baccalaureate on Sunday, May 25, and ends with graduation exercises on Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31.
Baccalaureate at Bellevue will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Bellevue School Auditorium. Robert Slayton, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bellevue, will give the message.
Michelle Cassetty will play the processional and recessional. Invocation will be given by Shelby Watkins. Special music will be provided by Michael Qualls, followed by a scripture reading from Destiny Watkins. Ashley Parr will give the benediction.
Graduation is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 30 in the school auditorium. The speaker will be Linda Graves, English and language arts teacher at Bellevue ISD.
Eighth grade promotion will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 29. The speaker will be Clint Edmondson, history teacher at BISD.
Baccalaureate service at Henrietta High School will begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Tyra Roper Auditorium. Howard Walker, pastor of the First Christian Church and former teacher at Henrietta High School, will be the speaker. A reception hosted by the Henrietta Ministerial Alliance will follow the service, where senior scrapbooks will be on display.
Addison Wade will give the welcome, and Parker Kleinert will give the invocation. Special music will be provided by Matthew Mitchell, followed by the senior video presented by Sydney Scott. Aaron Whitehead will give the benediction and Brooke Hoff and Tiffany Negen will lead the pledge of allegiance. Juniors Kristen Riddle and Darbey Hood will serve as attendants.
Graduation will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Memorial Auditorium in Wichita Falls.
Baccalaureate service for Midway ISD will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Bluegrove Baptist Church. Jared Johnston will be the speaker.
Beverly Childs will play the processional and recessional. Logan Harper will give the invocation. Special music will be provided by Jay Hollis, followed by a scripture reading from Jorden Mass. Tristan Franke will give the benediction.
Juniors Erin Armstrong and Austin Thorn will serve as ushers, while Jayson Castle and Hunter Lynn hand out programs.
Graduation will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 30, in Midway’s John Guice Gymnasium.
Petrolia High School held baccalaureate services Sunday, May 18. Graduation ceremonies will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 31, in the high school auditorium.
