Kids swarm courthouse lawn in search of Easter eggs

The Henrietta and Clay County Chamber of Commerce and Henrietta High School PALS put on the annual citywide Easter egg hunt on the courthouse lawn Saturday.

Registering for the hunt were 147 kids, participating in four age groups. This is the fourth year for the event to be held downtwon.

Heather Davis took first place in the 10-and-up division, finding 63 eggs. Harley Fletcher finished first in the ages 6-9 division with 44 eggs. Mary Dale Marketic won the ages 3-5 division with 66 eggs, and Lilly Gunter won the two-and-under division with 52 eggs.

Local businesses and chamber of commerce members donated plastic eggs, filled with candy and prizes.
