Kenneth Ray Lowry of Whitesboro


Kenneth Ray Lowry, 85, of Whitesboro, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Sherman.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 16 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Joe Williams officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Henrietta under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta. 

Mr. Lowry was born to James Marvin and Ruby (Curry) Lowry in Wichita Falls on Jan. 26, 1929. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Helen Jeannine Hickey on Sept. 30, 1950 in Waurika, Okla., and retired from Shell Oil Company. 

He is preceded in death by his wife and one son, Gary Lowry. 

Survivors include a son, Mike Lowry and his wife Jeizel of Whitesboro; two sisters, Peggy McQuerry of Iowa Park, and Kay Stone and husband Frank of Blue Eye, Mo.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
