Grand jury indicts eight

A Clay County grand jury handed down eight indictments Monday, March 17, including three sealed indictments.

Allen Thomas Boyer has been indicted on one count of burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony, for a Nov. 5 offense. Bond was set at $50,000.

Michael Fluharty has been indicted for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony, for a Feb. 12 offense. Bond was set at $5,000.

Derrick Winford Hill has been indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1,  cocaine in an amount of less than 1 gram, a state jail felony, for an April 12 offense. Bond was set at $6,500.

Devin Cole Holland has been indicted on one charge of possession of a prohibited weapon, a sawed-off shotgun with a barrel length of less than 18 inches, a third-degree felony, for a Feb. 13 offense. Bond was set at $5,000.

Robert Lester Smith was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, methamphetamine in an amour of less than 1 gram, for a May 21 offense. Bond was set at $10,000.
