Down by three to open the seventh inning, Henrietta batted for a comeback against District 8-2A rival Holliday Friday night, but couldn’t top the Eagles, 4-3.
Henrietta put it’s first runs on the board with an RBI single from Kandon Bennett. Bennett’s fielder’s choice pushed Tylor Brown across the plate, and followed with an RBI single from Conner Fletcher to center field, to score Daniel Wilson and Layton Workman-Stewart.
With a tie score in the bottom of the seventh, Holliday squeezed out an RBI single for the win.
Holliday took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, and scored two in the sixth. The Eagles accumulated eight hits and recorded no errors.
Henrietta finished with five hits, including and two errors.
Parker Kleinert took the loss for the Bearcats. In six innings of work, Kleinert walked one, struck out five and allowed four runs.
