Anna Schmittou of Petrolia


Anna Pearl Schmittou, 78, of Petrolia, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 20 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Mr. Brandon Dunn, pastor of the Western Heritage Christian Church in Dean, officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta. Graveside will be at 11 a.m., Friday, March 21, in the Woodman Cemetery in DeKalb. The graveside service is under the direction of Bates Funeral Home of DeKalb.

Ms. Schmittou was born Dec. 4, 1935 in Artesia, N.M., to Roy and Edith (Goodin) Tice. She was a member of the Western Heritage Christian Church and was a retired respiratory therapist.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Schmittou; a brother, Johnny Tice; and three sons, Roy Tice, Jerry Hitchcock and Richie Franklin.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherrie Evans and husband Galan of Dean, and Kristie Williams and husband Donny of Dean; two brothers, Leon Tice of Petrolia, and Charles Tice of DeKalb; one sister, Louise Garner of DeKalb; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. 

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home from from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
