Henrietta citywide cleanup slated for April 9-12


Henrietta’s annual citywide cleanup is set for Wednesday, April 9 through Saturday, April 12.

imagesThe city convenience center, located on Hapgood Park Road in Henrietta, will be open from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday. An attendent will be on duty.

IESI will continue to provide bulk curbside pickup on Tuesday prior to the cleanup. To schedule a curbside pickup, contact IESI at 877-592-5030 before 5 p.m. on Mondays.

Items accepted at the convenience center include old furniture such as chairs, tables, couches, recliners, lamps; white goods such as space heaters, air conditioners without refrigerant, clothes washers and dryers, stoves, stereos and televisions; boxes and other packaging; brush, grass trimmings and tree limbs.

Items not accepted include anything that contains gaseous refrigerants such as refrigerators, freezers and air-conditioning units that contain Freon or other gaseous refrigerants unless the unit has been tagged by a licensed professional certifying the Freon has been evacuated. The tag must contain the name off the licensed professional removing the Freon and the professional’s state license number. Other items not accepted are chemicals of any type, tires and batteries, liquid waste, regulated medical, waste asbestos waste and radioactive waste.
