The Texas Regional Collaboratives for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching is an award-winning statewide network of 58 partnerships that provide sustained and high intensity professional development to
grade school teachers of science and mathematics across the state. This infrastructure of more than 58 institutions of higher education collaborating with the Texas Education Agency, Education Service Centers, school districts and business partners has a 22-year track record of designing and implementing exemplary
professional development using research-based instructional models, materials and best practices.
The TRC continues to have a secondary level focus to help teachers and students meet the challenges of new state assessments. In addition to a secondary focus, the TRC also supports elementary grade teachers for professional development which is vertically aligned with these content priorities.
