Don McAden of Wichita Falls


Don Edwin McAden, 79, of Wichita Falls, died Jan. 28, 2014 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home with Reggie Coe of Grace Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery in Wichita Falls under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.

Mr. McAden was born Feb. 3, 1933 in Gordonville to Gene and Pauline McAden. 

As a young man, Don began driving a truck and hauling cattle to the Fort Worth Stockyards. He operated a trucking company and later built truck stops in Denton and Jolly. He was a member of Anchor Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Neata; three children, Donna Lowry and husband Alan of Franklin, Tenn.; Denise Robinson and husband David of Austin; Dennis McAden and wife Christy of Wichita Falls; a sister, Alice Taylor of College Station; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
