While totals were down slightly from last year, individual prices were up with exception of few. The Henrietta Kiwanis Club buyers’ pool rasied $10,500 to go toward auction items, $2,000 more than last year.

The grand champion steer, shown by Conner Chambers of Henrietta, was purchased by Frank and Sandy Douthitt in memory of Randy Hapgood, a longtime supporter of the junior livestock show, for $3,000.

Billy Easter of Wichita Livestock purchased the floor for market hogs at $68 per hundredweight, and Goats at $200 per hundredweight. Brent Durham of Henrietta purchased the floor for the only steer to go to market at $1.58 per pound. David Hamilton of Perrin bid the market price for lambs at $158 per hundredweight.

James Hale won the Clay County Junior Livestock Association drawing for a 16-foot flatbed trailer.
