A 61-year-old Henrietta woman escaped injury Thursday night when her vehicle became lodged on the railroad tracks just off of Myers Road in Henrietta.
Deborah June Johnson was traveling south on Hwy. 287 in a late model Kia passenger car when she reportedly fell asleep. DPS Trooper Harley Rosenberger said Johnson’s vehicle left the highway at a curve near the Hwy. 82 exit into Henrietta and crossed Myers Road, where it the drove up the railroad embankment and onto the tracks.
The accident, reported at 9:36 p.m., caused Burlington Northern Santa Fe to stop train traffic until the vehicle could be cleared from the tracks.
