Seventh grade Lady Cats win tourney; eighth grade second

Henrietta's seventh grade "black" Lady Cats earned a championship title in the Henrietta Junior High "B" tournament Saturday, Dec. 14.

Henrietta’s seventh grade “black” Lady Cats earned a championship title in the Henrietta Junior High “B” tournament Saturday, Dec. 14.

Henrietta's eighth grade team took second place in the junior high 'B' tournament, hosted by Henrietta Junior High.

Henrietta’s eighth grade team took second place in the junior high ‘B’ tournament, hosted by Henrietta Junior High.

Henrietta Junior High hosted a “B” team tournament Saturday, Dec. 14, in which Henrietta’s Lady Cats finished strong.

The seventh grade “black” Lady Cats took first place in their division, defeating Iowa Park, 21-5; Bowie, 34-0; and Boyd in the championship game, 15-13.

Henrietta’s “gold” Lady Cats finished fifth in the seventh grade division, falling to Boyd and Bridgeport before defeating Bowie, 18-4.

Henrietta’s eighth grade team took second place in the tournament.  The Lady Cats defeated Iowa Park, 18-16; and Archer City, 17-15. The Lady Cats fell to Boyd in the championship game 21-4.
