Reuben Tiemann of Henrietta


Reuben Tiemann, 91, of Henrietta, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Vicar Jeremiah Heydt of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wichita Falls officiating. Burial will be in the Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Tiemann was born Aug. 7, 1922 in Taylor to Walter and Lena (Walther) Tiemann. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Vernille Raschke on April 20, 1947 and worked as an accountant and a purchasing agent for Delhi-Taylor Oil Corp. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Dallas.

Mr. Tiemann is preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Weise and Verna Mae Zegub.

Survivors include his wife Vernille of Henrietta; one daughters, Darlene Craddock and husband Bill of Henrietta; one son, Ron Tiemann and wife Barbara Phillips; two brothers, Leon Tiemann and wife Nita of Taylor, and Olin Tiemann of Taylor; three sisters, Edna Weigert of Austin, Lillian Clayton and husband James of Austin, and Gloria Tiemann of Sequim, Wash.; three grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson.

Memorials can be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 3001 Lovers Lane, Dallas, Texas 75225; or Trinity Lutheran Church, 3505 Kemp St., Wichita Falls, Texas 76308.
