Grace Care Center of Henrietta’s monthly birthday party is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 20 at 3 p.m. This party is hosted by the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary Post 5401 and Henrietta Floral each month. This month we will honor the birthdays of Ruth Lemond, Ella Miers, Vernille Tieman, Barbara Matthews and Margie Battle.

Michael Merrill will be here Thursday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. He provides exceptional musical entertainment. If you have some free time, please stop by and join us.

We are still in need of a volunteer to come by and do some ironing. We have all the supplies, and all that is needed is a small amount of your time. Please consider devoting a little time to someone who would truly appreciate your thoughtfulness.

The friends and family of Ruthie M. Jones are continuously in our prayers as they are dealing with the loss of a loved one.  Ruthie was born Jan. 5, 1949 in Georgia. She was nicknamed “Our Sweet Georgia Peach”, and she truly lived up to this name. She will be missed daily by all those who knew her.

Robert Bell is also greatly missed, and his family and friends are in our prayers as they deal with this loss. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. We are very blessed to have gotten to know him and have him as part of our lives.

The Joy Baptist GAs came out Sunday, Dec. 15. The residents really enjoyed the children. Thank you for spending your time with us.

Ron and Linda Lions spent the evening with us on Dec. 10. They presented an amazing program titled “A Reason for the Season”. The program was such a delight. Ron and Linda have been traveling all over Texas and Oklahoma to present their program at no cost. We are so grateful that they were able to include us in their busy schedule.

Thank you to Paula Koetter, LVN, ADON, and her children as well as Dale Peden, Barbara Matthews, Tammy Perez, and Ruth Lemond for decorating the sunroom. It looks marvelous.

The Henrietta Jr. High Honor Society had several members who volunteered at Grace Care Center to fulfill their volunteer hours. We are flattered that they chose us for their volunteer services. We hope you had a great experience, and we hope you choose to volunteer here again.

Kathy Walker volunteers on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday each week. She is very much enjoyed and appreciated by all. We are very grateful for Kathy.

The First Baptist Youth Group makes weekly visits with the residents. We are so glad to have this group back with us. Jimmy Moses and his student intern Aaron Whitehead have an awesome group of young people that truly make a difference in the life of the residents.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to Sarah Sears. We miss you and pray that you continue to heal.

Thank you for your dedication to Grace Care Center of Henrietta. Have a wonderful week and a very merry Christmas!
