
Weather is believed to have caused a one-vehicle rollover east of Henrietta Thursday morning.
An Iowa Park man escaped injury in a one-vehicle rollover accident Thursday morning.
The accident is the first in what law enforcement and emergency workers expect to be a busy next few days as a winter storm works its way into Clay County.
The accident happened at about 8:10 a.m.
Jason Michael Huchton, 36, was driving to Muenster on Hwy. 82 approximately one mile east of Henrietta in a 2010 Dodge half-ton pickup. Huchton told a DPS Trooper investigating the accident that he hit a small icy spot in the road and lost control of the vehicle. The pickup crossed the westbound lane and rolled over in the barrow ditch, coming rest on a barbed-wire fence.
Temperatures hovered around 28 degrees at the time of the accident. The high Thursday is expected to be 30 degrees in Henrietta.
