Lady Cats fall to Burkburnett despite 20-point fourth quarter


Despite a 20-point push in the fourth quarter Tuesday night, Henrietta’s varsity Lady Cats took a 57-39 loss to Burkburnett Friday night.

The Lady Bulldogs took a 12-6 lead over the Lady Cats in the first quarter, then got hot in the second, posting 21 to Henrietta’s seven points. Burkburnett again outscored Henrietta in the third, 11-6. The Lady ‘Cats rallied in the fourth, holding Burkburnett to 13 points.

Anni Scholl led the Lady Cats with 14 points, including two three-pointers, and 11 rebounds. Scholl also had two assists. Kamryn Weaver scored six points and came away with 12 rebounds and one steal. Kagen Campbell and Hollie Thomas scored five points each, including three-pointers. Thomas grabbed four rebounds and Campbell had two. Jordan Harwell scored four points and had five rebounds. Brooke Hoff scored three points with two steals and a rebound. Callie Page added two points, on steal and a rebound. Sierra Burkhart had two rebounds.

Henrietta’s JV Lady Cats earned a 34-23 win over Burkburnett. Abbe Strickland led the effort with nine points, followed by Mikayla Graham and Sami Morrow with six points each.
