Wilma Harmon-Holland of Henrietta


Wilma Gertrude Harmon-Holland, 97, of Henrietta, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 29 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Rev. Gary Williams of Weatherford officiating. Burial will be in the Bluegrove Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Harmon-Holland was born Feb. 26, 1916 in jolly to Noah and Cora (Phillips) Southerland. She grew up in the Clay County area and later moved to Fort Worth then Oceanside, Calif., and then returned to spend her later years in the Clay County area. Wilma was a member of the Grant Street Church of Christ in Wichita Falls. She enjoyed watching T.V. game shows, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.

She is preceded in death by four brothers, Aubury, Clyde, J.D. and Bobby Southerland; four sisters, Maude England, Doris Pennington, Thelma Plemons and Cleo Holland; husbands, Noel Harmon and Cleo Holland; two sons, James and Joel Harmon; one grandson, Darrell Harmon.

Survivors include two sons, Lee Harmon and wife Norma of Grand Prairie, and Phillip Harmon of Florida; two brothers, Harold Southerland of Fort Worth, and Troy Southerland of Tulsa, Okla.

Survivors include nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
