Lady Cats dominate All-District 8-2A volleyball selections

Henrietta volleyball dominated the All-District 8-2A selections, announced Tuesday.

Katie Halsell earned the honor of Most Valuable Setter, while teammates Anni Scholl and Joyana Zamzow were named Co-Most Valuable Hitter. Taylor Bennett earned the title of Most Valuable server and Kenzie Kirk is the Newcomer of the Year. Head Coach Rochelle Kabisch and assistants Erin Turner and Danielle Hensley were named Coaching Staff of the Year.

First team all-district honors went to libero Cassie Pickett and outside hitter Addison Wade.

Setter Kailey Kirk and hitter Sierra Burkhart earned second team honors.

Earning academic all-district are Kailey Kirk, Bennett, Kenzie Kirk, Scholl, Zamzow, Wade, Heather Hicks, Halsell, Pickett and Kamryn Weaver.
