Lowell Dyer Lynn of Henrietta


Lowell Dyer Lynn, 86, of Henrietta, passed away on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Mr. Scot Clayton of Henrietta officiating and Rev. Rusty Hedges, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Henrietta, assisting. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Lynn was born Jan. 12, 1927 in Tarrant County to Ellery and Willie Dot (Dyer) Lynn. He served in the U.S. Army and married Beverly Jean Clayton on May 22, 1944 in Oklahoma. Mr. Lynn retired from the Texas Department of Highways where he worked for 31 years as Assistant Foreman. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Henrietta.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Beverly Jean Clayton Lynn of Henrietta; two daughters, Martha Thompson and husband Ray of Henrietta; and Linda Burleson and husband R.H. of Henrietta; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Henrietta, P.O Box 63, Henrietta, Texas 76365; the Henrietta Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 491, Henrietta, Texas 76365; or a memorial of choice.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19.
