Officials are investigating a Saturday afternoon structure fire that destroyed a Byers area home and barn.

The home belongs to Dr. Joshua and Catherine Caballero, and is located in the 700 block of Morris Road north of Byers. Damages are estimated at $200,000.

The blaze was reported at about 2 p.m. Saturday. According to reports, a woman who was inside the home when the fire started suffered minor burns and has been released from a Wichita Falls hospital.

The cause of the fire has not been determined. A Jeep and two ATVs also burned.

Volunteer fire departments from Byers, Petrolia, Charlie-Thornberry, Dean Dale and Jolly responded to the blaze.
