Anneliese ‘Ann’ Reese of Byers


Anneliese “Ann” Reese, 83, of Byers, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 in the Riverside Cemetery in Byers with Rev. James Keenum, pastor of the Assembly of God Church of Byers, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Reese was born Feb. 23, 1930 in Munich, Germany to Max and Eliesabeth Jelle. She married E.J. Reese on March 6, 1948 in Henrietta. She was a newspaper carrier for the Times Record News for 50-plus years and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Byers.

Mrs. Reese was preceded in death by her husband E.J. Reese; one son, Harold; and one daughter, Rebecca.

Survivors include her son, Eddy Reese and wife Nan of Waurika, Okla.; one daughter, Jeannie Burris and husband Ken of Byers; one daughter-in-law, Sandy Reese of Anchorage, Alaska; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the Byers Volunteer Fire Department at P.O. Box 95, Byers, Texas, 76357.
