Jeff Scott formerly of Henrietta


Jeffery Eugene Scott, 45, formerly of Henrietta, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 in Irving.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 at Grace Temple Baptist Church in Henrietta with Rev. Howard Walker of the First Christian Church and Doug Gaskey, pastor of Grace Temple Baptist Church, officiating. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at Lakeview Cemetery in Waxahachie.

Mr. Scott was born Feb. 26, 1968 in Irving to Jerry E. Scott and Virginia Harrison. He graduated from Henrietta High School and served four years in the United States Marine Corps. He served in Desert Storm, Desert Shield and was a member of one of the Marine units that took over Kuwait. After serving in the military, he worked for TxDOT, Mosley’s Trading Company and Grace Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Virginia and Wayne Harrison; one son, Nathan Scott; two daughters, Sydney Scott and Marlee Muhlbauer; one brother, Kevin Barnes; a grandmother, Elizabeth Nanson; an uncle, Jack Pickett; two aunts, Janet McSherry and Judy Rodgers; many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.

Memorials can be made to Henrietta Meals on Wheels or Henrietta All Sports Club.
