Carol Templeton of Byers


Carol Templeton, 79, of Byers, formerly of Burkburnett, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Assembly Of God Church in Byers with Rev. James Keenum, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Byers under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Templeton was born on Sept. 3, 1934 in Pittsburg, Pa., to Frank and Sylvia (Heller) Zeis. She married Theodore Templeton on Aug. 22, 1953 in Maryland. Mrs. Templeton was a homemaker and a loving mother.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ted; two sisters; two brothers; a great grandson; a great-great-granddaughter; and one son-in-law.

Survivors include two sons, Ted Templeton and wife Nelda of Axel, and Richard Templeton of Iowa Park; six daughters, Carol Gray and husband Wendell of Burkburnett, Dianne Cabrera and husband Bebe of Burkburnett, Linda Wikel of Byers, Cathy Bilyeu and husband Johnny of Wichita Falls, Bonnie Vandestreek of Tucson, Az., and Bea Stock and husband David of Dallas; 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 7-8 p.m.
