With a three-set sweep of Bowie Tuesday night, Henrietta’s Lady Cats finished District 8-2A with a 10-0 record. Friday, The Lady Cats claimed the district championship with a four-set win over Nocona.

Henrietta will face Eastland in a bi-district playoff at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4. The match will be played in Mineral Wells.

Henrietta defeated Bowie 25-12, 25-18, 25-21.

Taylor Bennett led the offensive effort with nine kills, and made two assisted blocks. Anni Schollfollowed with eight kills, and had 11 digs, one solo block and one assisted block. Joyana Zamzow scored eight kills and had 18 digs. Addison Wade finished with seven kills, a solo block and two assisted blocks. Sierra Burkhart had five kills, followed by Kailey Kirk with three kills. Cassie Pickett scored five aces and had 23 digs at libero.

The Lady Cats defeated Nocona 23-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-17. Zamzow led with 13 kills, three aces and 19 digs. Bennett scored nine kills and three aces. Scholl had nine kills and 15 digs. Burkhart also sored nine kills. Wade had eight kills and Pickett finished with 17 digs. Setter Katie Halsell put up 26 assists, while Kenzie Kirk had 22 set assists.
