Pamela “Pam” Kafer Pitts, 61, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 in Wichita Falls after a short battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta with Rev. Stan Horton of Iowa Park officiating. Burial will be in the Petrolia Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pitts was born Dec. 23, 1951 in Wichita Falls to Alvin Edgar and Ilene (Bray) Kafer. She graduated from Petrolia ISD in 1970 and was of the Methodist religion. After graduation she became a dental assistant for almost 20 years. She enjoyed her job and the patients became her friends because she was loved for her sweet and caring disposition. The highlights of her life were when she became a mother on Sept. 25, 1983 to her son Dustin Ray. Nine months later, she became a single mother. She worked hard to provide a wonderful life for Dustin. Dustin was a joy to her and when he finished school and college and became a coach, she knew all was fine. In 2001 she met and married John Pitts and became a happy housewife. She enjoyed being a wife, a shopper and decorating their home.
She is preceded in death by her father, Alvin Edgar Kafer.
Survivors include her husband, John Pitts of Wichita Falls; one son Dustin Holly; one daughter-in-law, Lindsey Holly; her mother Ilene Kafer; and one grandson.
The family will be at Davis Funeral Home from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29.
