Henrietta Band earns ‘Excellent’ rating in Region II Marching Contest

The high school bands of Henrietta and Petrolia competed in the Region 2 marching contest Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Wichita Falls.

The Henrietta Band received an “Excellent” rating in the Class 2A competition. Bowie, Breckenridge, City View and Holliday all received “Superior” ratings.

Competing against other Class A schools, Petrolia received an “Average” rating. Paducah High School also received a “3.” Archer City, Seymour, Windthorst, Anson, Haskell, Knox City, Olney and Throckmorton earned “1,” or “Superior,” ratings. Electra, Munday, Hamlin and Stamford received “2,” or “Excellent,” ratings.

Class A, 2A and 4A schools earning “Superior” ratings advance to the Area contest with a chance to qualify for state.
