Lady Cats sweep Bowie, City View to remain undefeated in 8-2A

Henrietta’s varsity Lady Cats continued in their quest for an undefeated district season Tuesday, sweeping City View in three sets, 25-5, 25-10, 25-7. On Saturday, Henrietta traveled to Bowie for a 25-18, 25-14, 25-21 win.

The Lady Cats dominated City View from the service line, led by Taylor Bennett with seven aces. Anni School put in four aces and Katie Halsell finished with three.

Bennett finished with five kills, five digs, two assisted blocks and a solo block. Scholl accumulated five kills, 10 digs and two assisted blocks. Jayana Zamzow scored seven kills and had nine digs, followed by Addison Wade with six kills and two assisted blocks. Kailey Kirk had four kills and two assisted blocks, while Sierra Burkhart had three kills and Kamryn Weaver had two kills. Cassie Pickett scored three kills and had nine digs. At setter, Halsell put up 19 assists and Kenzie Kirk had 12 assists.

Zamzow led the team in Henrietta sweep of Bowie with 11 kills, four aces and 15 digs. Choll added nine kills and 15 digs. Bennett finished with six kills, followed by Wade with five, Kailey Kirk with four and Burkhart with three. Pickett put in three aces and had 21 digs on defense. Halsell finished with 19 set assists, while Kenzie Kirk finished with 16 set assists.

Henrietta travels to Jacksboro on Saturday, Oct. 18, and hosts Holliday on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
