Henrietta suffered its third loss of the season Friday night at the hands of S&S Consolidated, 49-14.
The Bearcat defense failed to contain a pair of S&S’s backs, allowing Reed Collum and Trenton Nolan to strike three times in the first quarter.
Collum opened the effort on a 10-yard touchdown, followed by a pair of strikes from Nolan, who scored on a 36-yard pass from Collum and a six-yard run. Willie Winbourne capped the Ram’s first-quarter scoring with a 53-yard touchdown run.
Henrietta’s offense found some success in the second and fourth quarters. Just before halftime, Dustin Calabrese picked off an S&S pass, and returned it 10 yards to the end zone. Hayden West broke free for a 50-yard touchdown in the final frame.
S&S added 14 points in the third, on a six-yard pass from Collum to Nolan and a six-yard run from Winbourne.
The Rams scored on a 3-yard Wyatt Maher run in the fourth.
West led the Bearcats in rushing with 49 yards on two carries, followed by Cody Fletcher with 10 carries for 20 yards. Henrietta finished with 75 yards on the ground.
The Bearcats passed for 56 yards, connecting eight of 17 attempts.
Friday, Sept. 20, Henrietta earned its second win of the season, a 35-22 decision, against Quanah.
Myles Marchman put Henrietta on the scoreboard with a 20-yard pass from Conner Fletcher. In the second, Fletcher scored on a one-yard run.
Quanah’s Craig Miles found pay dirt for the Indians on a five-yard run, followed by a two-point conversion, 14-8.
Henrietta distanced itself from Quanah in the third quarter when Calabrese took a Riley Watson pass 45 yards to the end zone and Leo Hunter scored on a 19-yard run.
The Bearcats added seven on a 24-yard run from Watson in the fourth.
Quanah added two touchdowns in the final quarter, a 35-yard pass paly from Miles to Clay Robertson, and a two-yard run from Robertson.
Cody Fletcher led the Bearcat ground game with 22 carries for 150 yards. The Bearcats accumulated 271 yards on 42 carries, and 163 yards in the air on 12 of 17 pass attempts. Watson completed four of six passes for 92 yards, while Conner Fletcher took two catches for a total 57 yards.
