The Henrietta and Clay County Chamber of Commerce and Clay County Pioneer Sentinel urge photo bugs to bring their cameras along while attending the 82nd annual Pioneer Reunion and Rodeo.

Submissions in the third annual Clay County Outdoors magazine photo contest will be accepted beginning Oct. 1. Deadline for submissions is Oct. 31. Readers of The Pioneer Sentinel will be asked to chose their favorite photos beginning Nov. 1 through Nov. 7.

This year’s contest theme is “Authentically Clay.”

“The contest continues to grow in popularity each year. We hope this time will be no exception,” said Matt Kelton, editor and publisher of The Pioneer Sentinel. “We strongly urge the youth of Clay County to get involved, especially those who may already participate in 4-H photography competitions.”

The contest again will be divided into adult (17 and older) and youth (16 and younger) divisions.

Clay County Outdoors asks that all photos be in vertical format, to fit pages. Digital photos must be submitted as high-resolution originals in no smaller than 775-by-1,000 pixels, and as a .jpeg file. Photos from almost all digital cameras will meet the requirement, but cell phone cameras most likely will not.

To enter, e-mail digital photos to publisher@pioneer-sentinel.com.

For photographers who shoot film, submit an 8-by-10 inch prints by mail to The Pioneer Sentinel, P.O. Box 70, Henrietta, Texas 76365.
