Henrietta earned a homecoming win and evened its record Friday night with a 22-6 win over Paradise.
The Bearcats entered halftime up 9-0, thanks in part to a mishandled Paradise punt attempt in the second quarter.
Riley Watson put the Bearcats on the board in the first quarter on a 10-yard touchdown run. Henrietta went up 7-0 on Jameson Dowell’s extra-point kick.
Deep in their own territory with two minutes left in the half, the Panthers snapped the ball past the punter, causing a safety.
Henrietta turned it on in the third quarter. Less than 40 seconds into the third quarter, Conner Fletcher scored on a three-yard run. And with nine seconds left, Hayden West gave the Bearcats a 22-0 lead with a nine yard run.
Paradise finally hit pay dirt in the fourth when Dylan Meadows intercepted a Henrietta pass and carried it 88 yards into the end zone. The two-point conversion failed.
The Bearcats posted 253 yards rushing on 43 carries. Cody Fletcher led the ground game with 97 yards on 17 carries, followed by Riley Watson with 62 yards on 10 carries and Conner Fletcher with 32 yards on six carries.
