Man looks out door to find RV ablaze in front yard

A Henrietta man opened the front door of his home Wednesday night to find smoke and flames billowing from an RV parked in front of the residence.

When Henrietta VFD fire fighters arrived at the intersection of North Graham and West Wichita streets, the 22-foot vehicle was fully engulfed in flames — and threatening the house.

Shane Perrin, 22, said he heard a loud “boom” while watching television. When looked out the door, he saw the fire. Perrin said he went in and woke his brother, Zack Bauer, 14, and got their pets out of the house. The two called 911 from a neighbor’s house at approximately 7:54 p.m.
The house belongs to Perrin’s mother, Katrina King. His sister, Aireal Bauer, 17, also lives in the home. Neither was present at the time the fire broke out.

There were no injuries in the blaze. The fire melted the siding from the second story of the home and caused damage to the roof of the porch. The cause of the blaze is unknown.
