Vinnie Lue Sheppard of Henrietta


Vinnie Lue Sheppard, 82, of Henrietta, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Church of Christ in Henrietta with Mr. Todd Davis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Sheppard was born Oct. 30, 1930 in Foss, Okla., to William R. and Delma (Rowlan) Andrews. She married J.O. Sheppard on Oct. 6, 1950 in Wichita Falls. Mrs. Sheppard was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Henrietta. She taught ceramics in the Ceramatone group of Clay County.

She is preceded in death by one sister, Shirlee Busche.

Survivors include her husband, J.O. Sheppard of Henrietta; two sons, David Sheppard of Iowa Park, and Danny Sheppard of North Richland Hills; four brothers, Donald L Andrews of Elk City, Okla., Thomas G. Andrews of Amarillo, William R. Andrews, Jr., of Seattle, Wash., and Brian R. Andrews of Shamrock; three sisters, Delma R. Wingo of Amarillo, Ida Faye Glasgow of Elk City, Okla., and Sharon Wentz of Buhle, Idaho; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
